During the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, The Foster Festival remains committed to ensuring that your safety and well-being are top of mind. To that end, we have taken great care to give our attention to keeping certain protocols in place to keep yours and our artists’ safety top-of-mind.

AUDIENCE EXPECTATIONS IN REGARDS TO COVID-19

  • The Foster Festival no longer requires proof of vaccination as per the current Government of Ontario guidelines.
  • Mask wearing is no longer mandatory at our performances. However, we strongly encourage audience members wear masks when distancing is not possible.
  • Risk: Attendees understand and agree that there is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public place where people are present. We ask you to please take what precautions you deem necessary to protect yourself and others when attending any performance.
  • Audience members experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms, with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19, or with confirmed close contact to a confirmed case are asked to please not to attend a performance for the safety of other patrons, our staff, and our artists.
  • Audience members who call/email the Foster Festival offices prior to the start of their scheduled performance can request their ticket purchase to be considered a charitable donation, and a tax receipt can be issued. Tax receipts will only be issued upon request and the issuance of said tax receipt is at the discretion of The Foster Festival.
  • Requests made following the absence at your scheduled performance may not be accommodated.
  • These requirements are for both indoor and outdoor settings at this time in order to protect the most vulnerable members of the Foster Festival community and in order to protect our production team, staff and volunteers. Your cooperation with these policies enables us to securely present our productions and is greatly appreciated.

To support our ability to keep you safe, please ensure we have a valid email address on file so that we can keep you informed as our protocols evolve in response to Public Health regulations and guidelines.

CANCELLATIONS DUE TO COVID-19

If the theatre company must cancel your performance due to reasons related to COVID-19, every effort will be made to reschedule your performance. If another date cannot be selected, show credit or tax receipt will be issued. Tickets are non-refundable. If you as a patron wish to cancel due to reasons related to COVID-19 you must contact the theatre directly to request a show credit or tax receipt prior to the scheduled start time of your performance (credits will be issued on a case-by-case basis but are not guaranteed and tax receipts will only be issued if contacted prior to the performance).

CANCELLATIONS DUE TO WEATHER

If extreme weather prohibits a scheduled performance from going on as scheduled, every effort will be made to notify patrons of the cancellation with as much notice as possible. Ticket holders on a cancelled show will be contacted to pick a new show date or otherwise be issued a credit or tax receipt. Weather that prohibits a patron from attending the show, but does not prohibit the show from going on as planned will not be considered a guaranteed reason for credit/rescheduling and patrons wishing to request such must contact the theatre prior to that start of the show.

CANCELLATION FOR ANY OTHER REASON

Audience members who call/email The Foster Festival offices prior to the start of their scheduled performance can request their ticket purchase to be considered a charitable donation, and a tax receipt can be issued. Tax receipts will only be issued upon request and the issuance of said tax receipt is at the discretion of The Foster Festival. Requests made following the absence at your scheduled performance may not be accommodated.

TICKET EXCHANGES

The Foster Festival may be able to accommodate ticket exchange requests on a case by case basis. Also on a case by case basis, show credit may be offered if the situation is approved by management for credit.

Thank you for your support and help in keeping your fellow audience members, our artists, and our staff safe and well.
