Playwright 2025Alison is an actor, playwright, writer and independent theatre creator based in Toronto.
Alison’s adaptation of the book Onion Skins and Peach Fuzz: The Farmerettes, premieres this summer at 4th Line Theatre from July 1 – 20, 2024 and at the Blyth Festival from August 14 – September 7 2024.
Her plays have been produced on stages from coast to coast and beyond. She has written personal essays for the Toronto Star, the Globe and Mail and the National Post.
With Annabel Fitzsimmons and Mary Francis Moore she wrote the non-fiction book Bittergirl: Getting Over Getting Dumped (Penguin Canada, Plume US and Distribuidora Brazil) and the play bittergirl and musical Bittergirl – the musical.
Alison is a MacDowell Fellow and an alumna of the Banff Playwrights Lab.
