A Niagara Christmas Carol

As a multi-genre artist, Vocalist Melissa-Marie Shriner moves adeptly between the jazz, singer/songwriter, and classical worlds.

Ms. Shriner has curated, directed and performed in numerous one-woman shows and collaborative concerts, and is known for her moving song interpretations. She is the creative force behind the ‘Melissa-Marie Sings’ concert series, now in its 11th season, serving as Artistic Director, Producer and Performer. Her annual Christmas show, ‘Songs of the Holidays’, has become a holiday tradition in Niagara.

Jazz endeavours include her second solo holiday recording, ‘A Christmas Love Song’, released in November 2017, evoking the classic Holiday recordings of the 1940’s and 50’s, for which she was also Executive Producer. In 2018, she was nominated for the Established Artist Award for the St. Catharines Arts Awards, and for the Female Vocalist of the Year Award for the Niagara Music Awards 2018.  She also performs regularly for the senior community at various retirement residences in the region.

Ms. Shriner has performed as soloist and chorister with Avanti Chamber Singers, as guest soloist for Choralis Camerata, leader of the Melissa-Marie Shriner Jazz Trio, and as a performer with TD Niagara Jazz Festival/Twilight Jazz Series.
