Camille (she/her) is a theatre artist and early career writer based in Calgary. She is passionate about contributing to the arts ecology of her home province of Alberta, and has worked across the prairies as a playwright, actor, producer, improvisor, and educator. Camille was the playwright in residence at Alberta Theatre Projects for their 2021-22 season, where she taught the Student Writers Group—a professional-level playwriting program for high school students, which has been running for over 40 years. She has also been in residence at Alberta Musical Theatre Company (Alberta Opera).

Recent plays include real boi: The Tragedie of Pinocchio in Five Comedic Acts (Calgary Young Peoples’ Theatre), The Hitchhiker (Vertigo Theatre), and a new adaptation of Rapunzel (written with recording artist VISSIA) set to tour elementary schools in the 2024-25 school year. She is the winner of the Ottawa Little Theatre Playwriting Competition, the Shevchenko Short Prose Competition, and the Allied Arts Council’s Young Artist Award. As an actor, Camille is a Betty Mitchell Award nominee and has performed as far abroad as Singapore.

Throughout the pandemic, Camille was engaged in a first novel mentorship through Diaspora Dialogues in Toronto with her mentor, novelist and playwright Anosh Irani. She is a first year grad student in the University of British Columbia’s Creative Writing MFA Program.
