This year’s Fostered Playwrights Festival invites you to immerse yourself in four compelling new works, presented at our stunning new partner venue, Sons & Daughters Winery in Ridgeville. Nestled along the Niagara Escarpment, this family-owned winery offers a warm, welcoming backdrop where exceptional Canadian storytelling meets breathtaking scenery.

As chat turns to revelation they learn more than they bargained for about one another and an unlikely friendship begins to percolate. It’s Christmas Eve at Buxton’s Department store and Kelly Newman has arrived during the office Christmas party ready to assume her new role as Office Manager. Everything is looking rosy but then she runs into James — ‘not-so-rosy’— Rose. The ex-Office Manager. Could it be more awkward? Actually, yes. Two strangers, one’s fortunes on the rise at the expense of the other’s, both alone on Christmas Eve. Norm Foster brings light and laughter to the stickiest of situations. Will the holiday celebration warm potentially kindred spirits or chill the air between polar opposites?

This cheerful Christmas play that throws a widow and a widower together at their apartment building’s Christmas dinner for those who are alone during the holiday season. Michael and Sharon wind up at a table for two during this December 23rd dinner and what follows is an evening of getting to know one another with all of the awkwardness and politeness and silliness that a first meeting often includes. 2026 Ticket Policy
Tickets are non-refundable. All sales are final. If you are no longer able to attend a performance, exchanges can be made up to 24 hours prior to performance for any other date of the same show. Exchanges are subject to a $3.75 fee per ticket. Foster Friends Circle Donors and Ticket-package holders may exchange tickets at no charge.
