Sheila McCarthy is one of Canada’s most honoured actors, having won to Genie Awards (film), two Gemini Awards (television), and two Dora Awards (theatre) along with multiple nominations.


In addition to starring as Sarah Hamoudi in the Canadian television hit series Little Mosque on the Prairie, she as appeared in:

  • Die Hard 2
  • The Day After Tomorrow
  • Being Julia
  • Orphan Black


She most recently was seen in the Festival’s online reading of Old Love by Norm Foster, directed the world premiere reading of Norm Foster’s My Hero, and will be directing the Festival’s upcoming world premiere reading of A Pack of Thieves.
